Mideast Creatives has launched the Mideast Coworking Call to boost the growth of coworking, art and innovation spaces in cities in Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. Priority will be given to spaces outside of the capital cities in these countries.
We believe that these spaces play a vital role in the social, cultural and economic development of the region. Artspaces, fablabs, hackerspaces and coworking spaces or other community workspaces could apply till 31 July. The call was closed on 31 July 2015.
We have two types of grants available:
1) ‘Future Potential Grant’
For starting spaces (€5.000 – €15.000)
2) ‘Steady Growers Grant’
For spaces that exists longer than a half year (€5.000 – €35.000)

How does it work?
Step 1: Applicants need to fill in the online application or send an email with the completed application form attached.
Step 2: Mideast Creatives team will make an assessment based on the eligibility criteria.
Step 3: Eligible applicants need to answer a couple of follow-up questions and provide a full budget.
Step 4: Mideast Creatives team will make a quality assessment based on all information provided, and the budget.
Step 5: Applicants will receive a letter of approval or rejection.
Step 6: Approved applicants will be invited for a final interview.
Step 7: The final approved applicants will receive a contract.

7 August: Notification on eligibility
28 Augustus: Notification on approval or rejection
11 September: Contracting
